The following charts represent typical dimensions and weights for wire rope hoists to be used with the double girder Type SA or RA crane drawings and dimensions in the crane specification section of our site. These charts allow the specifier to properly select and dimension the type of crane to fit the application.
The "B" and "C" dimensions are actual hoist or trolley dimensions illustrating the distance of the hoist hook to the centerline of the runway rail. The "H" dimension is the distance of the hoist hook to the top of the trolley rail and the "I" dimension the space the hoist requires above the trolley rail. These dimension can also change based on interference from runway electrification or obstructions attached to the crane runway.
We have selected typical wire rope hoists from our main suppliers to fit most CMAA Class C applications. If you have a special requirement that may not appear on these charts or crane drawings, please contact our factory for assistance as there are many hoists not shown and modifications to the crane bridge that may be incorporated to fit your specific needs. |
