TYPICAL HOIST DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHTS |
HOISTS FOR SINGLE GIRDER TOP AND UNDER RUNNING CRANES |
The following charts represent typical dimensions and weights for electric chain hoists to be used with the single girder, top and under running crane drawings and dimensions in the crane specification section of our site. These charts allow the specifier to properly select and dimension the type of crane to fit the application. |
The "B" and "C" dimensions are actual hoist dimensions. When using with a single girder, top running crane, add 12" to these dimensions to allow for the crane end truck and trolley stops. These dimensions can also change based on interference from runway electrification or obstructions attached to the crane runway. |
We have selected typical electric chain hoists from our main supplier to fit most CMAA Class C applications. If you have a special requirement that may not appear on these charts or crane drawings, please contact our factory for assistance as there are many hoists not shown and modifications to the crane bridge that may be incorporated to fit your specific needs. |
Electric chain hoists can be equipped with lifts of 50 ft. of more by adding additional load chain. We have selected the following chain hoists based on lifting speed rather than amount of lift. All electric chain hoists include a motor-driven trolley for selection of a complete motorized crane. Hoist weights are based on 10 ft. standard hoist lift. |
